Parasoft announced they will be featuring the next
generation of application security solutions at JavaOne. Improving security
without impacting productivity, Parasoft’s Application Security Solutions
establish a continuous process that helps ensure security verification and
remediation tasks are ingrained into workflow across every stage of the SDLC.
"As hackers move up the application stack, coordinating
effective security best practices with testing and quality assurance approaches
is key," said Melinda Ballou, Program Director for Application Life Cycle
Management service at IDC, a research and advisory firm headquartered in
Framingham, MA. "Providing metrics to help provide insight into success
and failure also enables organizations to improve their security and quality
strategies."
Parasoft Application Security Solutions establish and drive
a daily process that automatically monitors policy compliance at all layers of
the application stack, identifies vulnerabilities, and collects process
metrics.
“We have seen a big emphasis on security audits recently.
Audits are necessary, but true success in application security requires an
in-line process to prevent security vulnerabilities and ensure that the
application adheres to the organization’s security policy,” stated Wayne Ariola, VP of
Strategy, Parasoft Corporation.
Developers secure code by simply responding to the reported
tasks. To promote rapid remediation, each vulnerability detected is
prioritized, automatically distributed to the developer who introduced it, then
distributed to his or her IDE with direct links to the problematic code.
Moreover, management gains real-time visibility into overall security status
and processes, which allows teams to document improvements as well as determine
what additional actions are needed to safeguard security.
