IDV Solutions announced that a new, independent research
report by ZapThink discusses IDV Solutions location-based enterprise mashup
software and its ability to enable users to flexibly mash up data important to
an organization, increasing the value of their SOA initiatives.
The report titled, "IDV Solutions: Location-Based Data Mashups for
Microsoft SharePoint" (ZapThink - March 2008), identifies the following
primary business drivers for enterprise mashups: rich user interface, the
integration of location-based information and business Services, and
interactive analysis of data. The report examines IDV Solutions' Visual Fusion
Suite and its ability to provide organizations with enterprise-ready location
software that leverages Microsoft SharePoint to provide a platform for bringing
data together in an intuitive mapping and information display.
"Even though the location-based mashups that IDV Solutions enable leverage
loosely coupled Services that SOA provides, the SOA story fades into the
background, which is where it belongs," said Jason Bloomberg, managing
partner for ZapThink and the author of the report. "Visual Fusion Suite
provides user value at the interface through the flexible mashing up of data
important to the organization."
"We are very pleased to hear that by leveraging our SOA technology
customers are realizing massive cost savings," said Ian Clemens, Chief
Technology Officer at IDV Solutions. "SOA makes it easy and fast for
customers to bring meaning to the data important to their business."
The report illustrates how IDV Solutions' Visual Fusion Suite enables customers
to bring the power of location to their intranet portals, dashboards, Web
sites, and decision support systems. The report goes on to outline the unique
capabilities of the Visual Fusion Suite, including Visual Fusion Server ,
Visual Fusion Experience , and Visual Fusion Tile Server .
