Arrow Electronics Announces Embedded Linux Software Solutions from Timesys
LinuxLink Allows Developers to Create Their Own Commercial-Grade Custom Linux Platforms

The North American Components business of Arrow Electronics
announced the availability of embedded Linux software solutions from Timesys
Corporation.
Enabling developers to create their own commercial-grade
custom Linux platforms, Timesys' Web-based LinuxLink software subscription
includes an embedded Linux platform, precompiled and tested for a given
processor, and a full suite of Eclipse-based development tools, documentation
and support.
Timesys serves customers in various industries such as
aerospace, telecommunications, automotive, industrial automation, medical and
consumer electronics.
“Timesys with its unique LinuxLink is a powerful addition to
Arrow's offerings and delivers on our commitment of long-term support to
developers working with Linux," said Chris Breslin, vice president of
marketing and product management for embedded computing at Arrow.
“Today's processor and operating system design selections
are tightly coupled," said Gregory Quiggle, vice president of sales and
marketing for Timesys. "We see the relationship with Arrow as a terrific
means to help the development community make well-informed design decisions
regarding embedded Linux and various popular processors, 'system on a chip,'
and 'system on modules.'"
