Ultimus
announced that it has been recognized as a leader in The Forrester Wave:
Human-Centric BPM for Microsoft Platforms, Q4 2007, Forrester Research, Inc.,
December 2007. Positioned as a leader, the company was one of a select group of
vendors asked to participate in the evaluation.
“Ultimus is a well-known name to many in the BPM space,
being one of the longer-lived and most global pure-plays around…Today’s V8
product is modern, redesigned with a new process data model and SOA based
server, and easy to use, and this leading BPM company is poised for growth with
a new CEO on board.” (The Forrester Wave: Human-Centric BPM for Microsoft
Platforms, Q4 2007, December 2007, Colin Teubner)
The Forrester Wave on Human-Centric BPM for Microsoft
Platforms evaluates vendors against approximately 150 criteria, grouped into
three high-level buckets: current offering, strategy and market presence. These
criteria stem from Forrester’s examination of past research, user need
assessment and vendor and customer interviews. In a market that is expected to
grow to $6.3 billion by 2011, Ultimus received high scores (scale from zero to
five), earning a score of 3.76 in Process execution; 5.00 in system
integration; and a 3.34 in Process solution. According to Forrester, Ultimus “is
an especially good fit for buyers that value ease of use above all and want
business users to change processes frequently.”
“For more than 10 years, Ultimus has developed BPM
technology that delivers extraordinary business value because we listen to our
customers and develop features that truly address their needs,” said Rick
Thompson, chief marketing officer at Ultimus. “Forrester Research is
undisputably one of the top independent industry analyst firms around and
including us as a leader in their research is an honor. The tremendous ROI we
bring to our customers is something that we do not take lightly, and having
third party recognition as a leader in human-centric BPM from top industry
analysts is a strong statement to Ultimus’ position in the market.”
Ultimus recently announced the general availability of Ultimus Adaptive BPM Suite, version 8. Powered by Adaptive
Discovery technology, the Adaptive BPM Suite is the most feature-rich BPM
product on the market, with enhancements driven from real customer experience
and thousands of processes automated. By creating front ends that allow
business owners to "own" and adapt core processes, version 8 of the
Adaptive BPM Suite maximizes the return on investment from process automation.
Businesses achieve unprecedented speed and agility because both business and IT
teams are empowered to drive continual process improvement.
Ultimus also continues to receive accolades for its BPM
technology and business leadership, having been recently named to KMWorld's “Trend-Setting
Product of 2007” list, and recognized as a Gold Award recipient in independent
research firm Bloor Research’s “Business Process Management” report. Ultimus
was also named a finalist in the KMWorld Promise Awards, and Ultimus customer
Compassion International was selected last month for the InfoWorld 100 for its
Ultimus-based BPM deployment.
