IBM Tops SOA Solutions Vendor Matrix Ranking

IBM tops Vendor Matrix release, SAP and Microsoft ranked second and third

IBM has been ranked at the top of the latest Vendor Matrix released by ABI Research. SAP and Microsoft claimed the second and third spots in the company's new evaluation of worldwide RFID enterprise platform BPM (Business Process Management) and SOA solutions vendors.

The Vendor Matrix is an analytical tool developed by ABI Research to provide an understanding of vendors' positions in specific markets. Vendors are assessed on the parameters of "innovation" and "implementation" across several criteria unique to each vendor matrix.

ABI Research examined vendors' overall RFID strategy, vision, and approach as well as the scope of RFID enterprise platform solution offerings. Installed base of customers and customer size; international market presence and penetration; RFID market experience; breadth of vertical and application markets served; strength in vertical and application markets served; integration and support capabilities; partner collaboration quotient, and overall market leadership and strength were also factors in the decision.
