Zierick Named CEO of Cloud Computing Company Nirvanix

New CEO brings expertise to global cloud storage provider

Nirvanix announced the appointment of Jim Zierick as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Zierick is tapped to apply his extensive industry knowledge and business acumen to aggressively grow and expand Nirvanix's position as a cloud storage market leader.

Zierick has more than 25 years of success in building and growing technology companies while in executive operations and sales roles. He comes to Nirvanix from a post as CEO of Aspyra, a provider of clinical and diagnostic information solutions for the healthcare industry, where he still serves as a member of the company's Board of Directors. He previously served as CEO of LogicalApps, a provider of embedded controls software for enterprise applications prior to its sale to Oracle.

Prior to joining LogicalApps, Zierick was Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations for Peregrine Systems, where he led a 350 person sales, alliance, customer support and professional services organization, and was responsible for generating $200 million of new license, support and service revenue before the sale of the company to Hewlett Packard. Before working with Peregrine, Zierick was a partner with McKinsey & Company, where he helped lead the company's Southern California technology and operational effectiveness practices.

Zierick holds an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and an A.B. and a B.E. from Dartmouth College and the Thayer School of Engineering.

Zierick succeeds Patrick Harr who is leaving Nirvanix to pursue a new opportunity.
