Active Storage Extends Performance and Usability Lead

XRAID improved for Apple users

In a recent release by Active Storage the company proclaimed significant performance and ease of use enhancements in the Active Storage XRAID, a RAID storage system for Apple users.

Debuted in October 2008, the Active Storage XRAID features a Mac OS X management suite and claims outstanding performance in Mac OS X, Mac OS X Server, and Xsan applications.

Housed in a 3U enclosure, the Active Storage XRAID is designed to produce high throughput and low latency in multi-user Apple applications with its architecture, LINUX based RAID kernel and segmented caching scheme.

Existing customers can upgrade with a memory change and software update.
