Mixing and mashing multiple data sources, all of different formats, into something that makes sense is a headache for software architects. Data services mashups - the pulling of data from multiple sources into a logical unit - would be easy if enterprise information came in well-formatted XML. But that's not reality. Vandersluis will show architects how to create data services mashups and explain the techniques and tools available to help them achieve efficiency and control over their data services for both service-oriented architecture (SOA) and rich Internet applications (RIA) environments.
Kirstan Vandersluis is the founder and chief scientist of XAware, Inc. He has been instrumental in developing and patenting XAware's product suite and launching the XAware open source project (www.xaware.org). Vandersluis is a frequent speaker at software industry events. He is also the author of "XML-Based Integration with XAware," published in 2004 by Maximum Press. Vandersluis holds a BS in Computer Science from Michigan and an MS in Computer Science from University of Colorado.
