The computing forecast, quips WaveMaker CEO Chris Keene, calls for continuing heavy clouds. But what are the technical issues for building AJAX applications in the cloud? What is the most productive way to build AJAX applications for deployment to EC2? These and allied enterprise IT questions will be answered in Keene's upcoming session at the 6th International AJAX World RIA Conference & Expo, to be held October 20-22, 2008, in San Jose, California.
Entitled "Cloudy AJAX: Putting RIAs on EC2," Keene's session will draw on lessons learned building enterprise applications using Dojo, Spring and other open source technologies.
Keene is Chairman and CEO of WaveMaker (formerly ActiveGrid). He was the founder, in 1991, of Persistence Software, a San Mateo, CA-based company that created a new approach for managing data in high-transaction banking and communications systems. Persistence Software investors included Cisco, Intel, Reuters and Sun Microsystems. The company went public in 1999 on the NASDAQ exchange and was sold in 2004 to Progress software.
After leaving Persistence Software in 2005, Keene spent a year in France as chairman of Reportive Software, a Paris-based maker of business-intelligence tools, and as an adjunct professor and entrepreneur-in-residence at INSEAD, a leading graduate business school.
He joins a star-studded speaker line-up at the conference, including:
