Parascale Has Hired Sajai Krishnan Out of NetApp to Be Its CEO

Parascale, the four-year-old firm with the Cloud Storage system software layered on the Linux XFS file system, the Linux operating system and the Internet Protocol networking protocol stack, has hired Sajai Krishnan out of NetApp to be its CEO.

He ran NetApp’s mid-market StoreVault business focused on network storage appliances and used to be a Booz Allen VP and a partner in its Communication, Media Technology practice.

Parascale’s so-called cloud storage is focused on rich media content in high-traffic applications and it’s financed by a syndicate that includes seed round investors in Google and Paypal.

Parascale’s software aggregates multiple bog-standard Linux servers into one highly scalable petabyte-size virtual file storage appliance. It automatically and transparently migrates and replicates files among the nodes to balance and optimize performance.
