AmberPoint announced that its SOA Management System has been named Product of the Year in the Service Management/Monitoring category by SearchSOA.com. This is the latest in a series of honors for AmberPoint software. In March 2008, AmberPoint was ranked the best SOA Management system in a hands-on review by analyst firm Yphise.

The version 6 release of AmberPoint SOA Management System delivers vital capabilities for understanding and controlling heterogeneous applications. The product is the result of AmberPoint's close work with industry partners including BEA, IBM, Microsoft, SAP, TIBCO and others. With its SOA Management System, AmberPoint offers capabilities that extend the breadth, depth and ease of real-time visibility into service networks, while also providing more comprehensive control.

“AmberPoint’s a bit of a venerable player in the SOA circles,” one judge wrote. “It’s been around since the early days and you’ll find a lot of early SOA adopters using it…it delivers critical endpoint capabilities that you need for staying on top of a distributed architecture.”

Ease of integration is one area in which AmberPoint was especially well regarded. “It works with pretty much everything else out there,” according to one panel member. AmberPoint was also highly rated in the performance area. Judges noted that AmberPoint “helps curtail runaway demand for a given service with a number of throttling capabilities.”
