PALO ALTO, Calif., July 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TIBCO Software Inc. today announced the latest release of its business process management (BPM) solution, TIBCO iProcess(TM) Suite 10.6, which delivers a more integrated user experience throughout the stages of process modeling, design, deployment and execution, as well as a tighter link between the Company's BPM and service-oriented architecture (SOA) layers. TIBCO iProcess Suite 10.6 also includes feature enhancements that deliver improved role-based usability, more granular process monitoring capabilities and scalability to manage a broader array of critical business processes.
"Our ability to address customer service, patient safety and HIPAA regulations is dependent on efficient and reliable underlying processes," says David Partsch, program director, Enterprise Imaging & Content Management, Geisinger Health System. "The enhanced usability, performance and scalability delivered by TIBCO's BPM solution have helped us achieve improved end-to-end visibility and command of core processes across specialties, departments, systems and physical locations."
TIBCO iProcess Suite 10.6 is comprised of a suite of application modules built on an open architecture designed to provide a complete end-to-end process management solution. Through tighter integration with the TIBCO Business Studio(TM) process modeling and design environment, iProcess Suite 10.6 now gives users the ability to directly deploy and execute business processes created in Business Studio, providing a seamless, end-to-end process development environment. TIBCO iProcess Suite 10.6 benefits end users with simplicity for modeling and managing business processes, while being able to move to process execution in a timely and accurate manner.
According to Gartner, Inc., "The management disciplines of BPM, and the technological advancements that enable those disciplines, support the needs of the real-time or adaptive enterprise of the near future. Organizations that begin their transformation for BPM during 2007 will be rewarded by industry dominance by 2010. Having a process architecture and aligning BPM initiatives with SOA initiatives are key activities to undertake in 2007."(1)
Performance, scalability and role-based usability enhancements for iProcess Suite 10.6 include:
-- More fine-grained integration between TIBCO's SOA and BPM layers, including the ability to: query for details such as case numbers, make audit trail entries and graft sub-procedures and steps through the services (SOA) layer to a BPM process; -- The introduction of the iProcess Workspace, which packages together all user facing functionality, enabling a more seamless user experience for process designers and participants; -- Role-based usability enhancements, determined by user profiling and analysis; -- More granular process monitoring capabilities, including the ability to monitor sub-processes; -- Improved scalability to monitor a broader range and quantity of business processes; -- Support for Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Linux RedHat 4.0 and DB2 9.1
"In order to extract value from BPM initiatives over the long term, organizations need to be able to model and execute highly complex processes that evolve in response to an increasingly unpredictable business climate," said Jeff Kristick, vice president, Product Marketing, TIBCO. "iProcess Suite now delivers even tighter integration between business process management, process modeling and SOA, giving organizations the seamless functionality they need to create and orchestrate business processes that drive improved performance and agility across their organizations."
