NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 06/13/07 -- Prolifics, a worldwide provider of SOA, Portal, Security and Business Integration solutions, today announced that it has acquired 7irene, a leading U.K. IBM business partner, providing systems integration delivery and consulting services.
7irene specializes in delivering complex integration projects using the 7irene AgileSOA software development process. The company also provides consulting services on SOA modeling and implementation best practice. Both companies standardize on and have deep skills around the IBM WebSphere and Rational software portfolio. This acquisition will expand Prolifics' SOA services practice, extend its customer reach internationally and boost its own best practices with 7irene's SOA methodology and wealth of practical experience.
"As we continue our mission to provide robust, secure and well-integrated end-to-end solutions for our clients worldwide, we are excited to strengthen our international reach in the SOA domain with this acquisition," said Michael Chadwick, EVP of Business Development. "Additionally, the ability to enhance our own proven methodologies with those of 7irene's will be of great benefit to our customers."
Prolifics has dedicated a majority of its consulting staff to IBM's WebSphere Software and SOA approach. The acquisition last year of Promenix, Inc. also bolstered the Prolifics SOA practice. The strategic SOA focus has led Prolifics to be one of the first companies to be designated by IBM with the "Ready for SOA" specialty mark. Prolifics was also honored as Finalist for the 2007 IBM Beacon Award for Best SOA Solution.
"The acquisition provides Prolifics with a team of experienced SOA consultants together with a proven methodology that solves customers most complex business problems using IBM software," said Pundarik Ranchhod, Director of 7irene. A track-record of successes has resulted in the company becoming a trusted name when it comes to SOA solution delivery.
Drawing on practical experience with both formal and agile approaches to software development, 7irene has been delivering solutions to customers using the AgileSOA process, a customized version of RUP, together with a set of productivity-enhancing project assets known collectively as the 7irene Archetype for WebSphere and Rational tools. 7irene has used these assets to build successful large-scale software solutions for a broad spectrum of FTSE100 customers.
