HP Says It's Ready for SOA!

Realization of Mercury/Systinet Acquisition Drives New Strategy

As part of the company's overall strategy, HP Services provide customers with a defined roadmap for SOA adoption by packaging intellectual property, methodologies, tools and best practice strategies. The new services "enhance an existing, broad portfolio that includes SOA Envisioning, Assessment, Governance and Architecture, Enablement, Service Development, Software Development and SOA Management," the company says.

HP will also establish a SOA Center of Excellence. And it does not plan to go it alone, but instead will work with a number of companies to deliver on its promises. HP says partners already supporting the Systinet SOA Governance Interoperability Framework include AmberPoint, BEA Systems, Cisco, and Progress Software, which acquired Actional in 2006.

That's hardly all. The Garage also supports Microsoft’s “Real World” approach to SOA, which integrates the .NET Framework and BizTalk Server;
Oracle Fusion Middleware; as well as what it calls SAP "business-driven approach to enterprise SOA."

Let the games begin!
