Prolifics has been named a Finalist for IBM's Best SOA Solution Award. The nominated solution was an innovative Message Broker implementation that enabled Southside Electric Cooperative (SEC) to integrate their mobile workforce, call center and office real time. This Beacon Award recognizes a WebSphere solution that is componentized, interoperable, modular, scalable, and effectively realizes the promise of SOA while delivering significant business value.

As an early adopter with WebSphere Process Server, Prolifics' certified WebSphere Solution Architects, Administrators and Developers work with IBM to conduct large enterprise-scale SOA projects. By leveraging existing IT resources, introducing new capabilities, and integrating business processes, Prolifics enables its clients to be more agile and responsive to any changing business priorities, pursue new markets, beat the competition, drive down costs and maintain corporate compliance.

With SOA as a strategic focus area, Prolifics dedicated more than half of its staff to WebSphere Software and IBM's SOA approach, as well as growing by acquisition. In 2006, Prolifics acquired Promenix, Inc., a leading systems integrator focused on SOA and EAI implementations. This acquisition helped expand Prolifics' SOA services practice as well as extend its customer reach.

According to IBM, the Beacon Award is a mark of excellence and innovation. Award finalists for this distinction have excelled in delivering meaningful results and true value to clients. These firms set themselves apart and establish the standard for business excellence.

Beacon Award winners will be honored in April during a special awards ceremony held at the IBM PartnerWorld Conference in St. Louis. IBM PartnerWorld is the world's largest gathering of IBM Business Partners, attracting several thousand attendees.
