SHELTON, Conn., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Active Endpoints, Inc. (http://www.active-endpoints.com/), the leading provider of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) orchestration products and services, today announced general availability of ActiveBPEL(TM) Enterprise for the Microsoft(R) .NET Framework. ActiveBPEL Enterprise is the only commercial-grade Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) server for the .NET community and the only product to offer native .NET support using WS-BPEL 2.0.
SOA architects and developers can now easily build and deploy composite, BPEL-based applications using .NET languages and technologies. ActiveBPEL Enterprise for .NET delivers native fault tolerance, scale and security. All product capabilities, connectivity and programming interfaces are in native .NET formats as well as a comprehensive management and monitoring console functionality running under Internet Information Services (IIS).
"ActiveBPEL Enterprise for .NET is a cornerstone of our platform strategy," said Chris Keller, Active Endpoints' VP Product Development and co-founder. "The .NET Framework represents a key platform for SOA application development and deployment. In combination with our small-footprint Apache Tomcat and J2EE(TM) application server support, ActiveBPEL Enterprise offers our customers and partners the broadest available choice of BPEL deployment options."
The general availability of ActiveBPEL Enterprise for .NET complements Active Endpoints' server lineup that runs on the broadest range of industry leading platforms, including Apache Tomcat, JBoss(R) Application Server, IBM(R) WebSphere(R) Application Server and BEA WebLogic(R) Server. ActiveBPEL Enterprise for .NET delivers the same level of enterprise scalability, security and reliability characteristics as found in the J2EE-based Enterprise server editions.
The ActiveBPEL product family includes SOA orchestration solutions that are standards-compliant and platform-neutral, forming the foundation for fast, cost-effective business and systems integration. ActiveBPEL 3.0 comprehensively supports the forthcoming WS-BPEL 2.0 standard.
