SAN MATEO, Calif. and ST CLOUD, France, Nov. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Cape Clear(R) Software, the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Platform leader delivering on the promise of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Systar, (Euronext Paris ISIN: FR0000052854-SAR), the leading provider of Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to deliver the first BAM solution that is fully integrated into an ESB Platform, enabling real-time SOA and business performance monitoring across all major applications and platforms. Cape Clear will embed Systar's market-leading BAM solution and resell it as a tightly integrated new module of its ESB Platform. The combined solution will help customers improve operational insight, predictability and responsiveness by raising awareness about important IT and business issues earlier.
This new offering will be sold as "Cape Clear BAM, Powered by Systar" and is generally available today with version 6.7 of the Cape Clear ESB Platform. Customers will benefit from:
* Increased Productivity -- through pre-built and reusable dashboard views of data, accessible from a common development environment * Freedom -- through a flexible correlation and rules engine that can access any web services from any middleware via the ESB Platform * Proven Performance -- Systar and Cape Clear have hundreds of customers in production and delivering mission-critical performance, benchmarked at running over 2,000 BAM correlations/second
"By delivering Systar's leading BAM capabilities as part of our ESB Platform, Cape Clear now has the most advanced BAM capabilities of any ESB vendor," said Jeffrey Read, president and COO of Cape Clear. "Powered by Systar, Cape Clear BAM delivers today what most vendors are only talking about -- a completely open, standards-based, and scalable pure-SOA solution that is not tied to a traditional complex, expensive and slow proprietary stack approach."
Cape Clear, the current ESB market-share leader according to Gartner(1), further "retains its leading position in Forrester's latest review of the standalone ESB market."(2) Systar was recently recognized by Gartner as a BAM industry leader, receiving the highest rating possible in Gartner's MarketScope for Business Activity Monitoring Platforms, Q306.
"The power of this reseller partnership with Cape Clear is unmatched and provides further evidence of our strategy to gain niche dominance by joining forces with other market leaders," said Bertrand Bouhour, president and COO of Systar. "Both BAM and ESB solutions are essential for customers to effectively leverage SOA to remain competitive. As operations extend across multiple departments, providers and partners, standard IT-based monitoring solutions will not be enough backbone to control SOA-based business processes. Analysts agree that a key component to a successful SOA deployment is the combination of BAM running on an ESB."
This solution is the first to join the best-of-breed ESB Platform with the best-of-breed BAM solution to provide greater flexibility and ease-of- deployment within complex heterogeneous environments. Business and IT performance data is gathered across disparate applications and platforms through Cape Clear ESB and automatically exposed via monitoring services to Cape Clear BAM. The Cape Clear BAM uses this data to expose business- and IT- relevant information through customized dashboards and a flexible correlation and rules engine.
