NTT Electronics (NEL) annonce le lancement des 100G ROSA, les premiers produits à haute performance du secteur

NTT Electronics (NEL), un leader dans le secteur de la technologie des composants optiques et électroniques intégrés pour les communications optiques à débit de données 100G et plus, a annoncé aujourd’hui la disponibilité de produits de haute performance 100G ROSA pour les interfaces optiques client. Les produits ROSA se composent d’appareils PIN et APD et fournissent des performances élevées. L’APD ROSA, en particulier, offre une solution rentable pour le signal tributaire optique NRZ 25G avec une dissipation de puissance inférieure.

Afin de répondre à la demande en bande passante du réseau liée à la croissance exponentielle du trafic Internet, les transporteurs déploient des systèmes cohérents de transport 100G. En outre, les réseaux de centres de données continuent à croître en taille, nécessitant des systèmes optiques rentables et à portée supérieure, avec des débits plus élevés. L’extension de la portée de ces liens 100G à plus de 10 km avec une faible dissipation de puissance est essentielle pour le centre de données de génération future et les réseaux connexes. Les composants destinés aux facteurs de forme de taille plus réduite et enfichables, comme CFP2 et CFP4, sont essentiels pour le déploiement rapide des réseaux 100G de nouvelle génération.

L’appareil ROSA sera un facilitateur essentiel pour les réseaux de prochaine génération.

« La disponibilité des appareils APD ROSA de NEL constitue un développement important pour le secteur, qui permettra d’obtenir des solutions 100G à portée étendue, à faible puissance et compactes pour le déploiement des réseaux à grande échelle. Un avantage clé par rapport aux solutions existantes est la compatibilité avec des émetteurs-récepteurs laser rentables et à modulation directe », a déclaré Chris Cole, directeur de l’ingénierie des émetteurs-récepteurs chez Finisar.

La mise en œuvre d’un récepteur APD élimine la nécessité d’un pré-amplificateur SOA, ce qui réduit la dissipation de puissance et les exigences de taille. La plus grande sensibilité des appareils APD ouvre la possibilité d’une portée plus longue sans amplification supplémentaire. Ces avantages rendent possible l’assemblage de haut débit de données des émetteurs-récepteurs 4x25G avec un plus petit facteur de forme pour des applications de portée supérieure. Une norme ITU-T SG15 est actuellement à l’étude pour un nouveau code d’application OTU4 pour Rec. G.959.1 correspondant à une application nominale à 40 km, NRZ 25G 100G OTN IrDI incluant FEC.
