Centric Software announced its acceptance to the IBM SOA Specialty after successfully completing IBM’s rigorous SOA technical and business requirements. With this achievement, Centric’s Product Intelligence integrates with the IBM SOA Foundation, a single, unified platform that combines the industry’s top application server and integration capabilities.
The IBM SOA Specialty in the PartnerWorld for Industry Networks provides technical enablement and a skills-building roadmap for partners who want to access the growing SOA market opportunity. For those business partners who achieve key milestones, the Specialty will also provide SOA-specific marketing and sales benefits, such as SOA Connection Events to meet directly with IBM SOA Sales specialists. IBM Sales Connections, a consultative service in the PartnerWorld Industry Networks, helps business partners close SOA deals quickly by connecting them with the relevant IBM SOA and local field sales team.
“SOA is an increasingly important architectural requirement in the manufacturing sector because of the business flexibility it enables,” said Sandy Carter, vice president, SOA and WebSphere, IBM Software Group. “Centric Software Product Intelligence applications demonstrate the value of SOA for combining information from the different disciplines of engineering, manufacturing, and finance.”
“Leveraging SOA, our Product Intelligence solutions empower global executives and multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed product or program teams with ‘live’ strategic metrics, complex product and program data, and financial information for success in today’s global economy,” said Chris Groves, chief executive officer at Centric Software. “Centric is pleased to be recognized as a member of the IBM Business Partner SOA Specialty and we look forward to contributing to the larger SOA ecosystem of open standard services and best practices.”
Product Intelligence applications from Centric Software merge Product Lifecycle Management and Business Intelligence so that global executives and multidisciplinary teams can collect all relevant information for any product or capital program initiative, decide on the appropriate action, execute on the initiatives, and assess progress against business goals.
Centric Software commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications that are ready for SOA are rapidly configured to match each customer’s unique business drivers and deliver Product Intelligence solutions such as: Product and Capital Program Search,
