HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Attorney General Tom Corbett today announced that the website for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General - http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/ - has been honored for its innovative and effective design, earning "2006 Best Government Website" and "2006 All-Star" awards from a leading Internet software company.
The awards follow a major project to update and enhance the PA Attorney General's website, making the site more informative and more user-friendly. Ektron analysts praised the Attorney General's website for its aggressive use of the Internet as an information and communications platform, adding that the site "sets a high bar for law enforcement and government agencies to follow if they're seeking new ways to keep their citizens informed."
The "All-Star" and "Best Government Website" recognition comes from Ektron, Inc., a technology and market leader in web content management software used by more than 15,000 businesses and agencies worldwide. A total of 16 websites were recognized as "2006 All-Stars," representing categories such as best government site, best education site and best public service site.
