Dominion Dealer Solutions, the nation’s largest provider of comprehensive inventory management solutions, customer marketing, data services, merchandising tools, and automotive data, announced today the launch of a web-based CRM platform. Dominion CRM will replace two Dominion Dealer Solutions’ legacy products: a server-based CRM and hosted ILM tool.
The Dominion CRM offers internet lead management and comprehensive showroom management, and customers will be able to choose the appropriate product to fit their needs. The new application’s web-hosted design supports both single rooftop dealerships and dealer groups. Our unique, customizable “Road to the Sale” provides a simplified, immediate approach for sales teams to view where customers are in the sales process without reviewing the entire deal history. In addition, Dominion CRM expands the “Save a Deal” process to provide greater sales team accountability and increase the number of saved deals.
The Dominion CRM release will be phased and measured. Bryan Anderson, product general manager for Dominion Dealer Solutions’ CRM solutions, noted, “Producing quality products that meet customers’ needs is the number one goal for Dominion Dealer Solutions. This initial CRM release is a solid foundation for future product roll-outs. Thousands of man hours have been invested to deliver a tremendous platform that accommodates all of Dominion’s products. As Dominion CRM is merged into this, the CRM teams will be dedicated to educating current Autobase and AVV Web Control users about the new platform.”
With marketing solutions, inventory tools, and DominionDMX, the future is remarkably bright for Dominion Dealer Solutions’ customers. “This is only the beginning,” said Rich Crawford, vice president of product management for Dominion Dealer Solutions. “Decades of experience, service and support expertise all set the pace for results-driven dealer innovation.”

In many organizations governance is still practiced by phase or stage gate peer review, and Agile projects are forced to accommodate, which leads to WaterScrumFall or worse. But governance criteria and policies are often very weak anyway, out of date or non-existent. Consequently governance is frequently a matter of opinion and experience, highly dependent upon the experience of individual reviewers. As we all know, a basic principle of Agile methods is delegation of responsibility, and ideally ...

At its core DevOps is all about collaboration. The lines of communication must be opened and it takes some effort to ensure that they stay that way. It’s easy to pay lip service to trends and talk about implementing new methodologies, but without action, real benefits cannot be realized. Success requires planning, advocates empowered to effect change, and, of course, the right tooling. To bring about a cultural shift it’s important to share challenges. In simple terms, ensuring that everyone k...

When we talk about the impact of BYOD and BYOA and the Internet of Things, we often focus on the impact on data center architectures. That's because there will be an increasing need for authentication, for access control, for security, for application delivery as the number of potential endpoints (clients, devices, things) increases. That means scale in the data center. What we gloss over, what we skip, is that before any of these "things" ever makes a request to access an application it had to...

Monitoring of Docker environments is challenging. Why? Because each container typically runs a single process, has its own environment, utilizes virtual networks, or has various methods of managing storage. Traditional monitoring solutions take metrics from each server and applications they run. These servers and applications running on them are typically very static, with very long uptimes. Docker deployments are different: a set of containers may run many applications, all sharing the resource...
