PEORIA, AZ -- (Marketwire) -- 01/14/13 -- Inspired by what American service personnel have done for their country, Farmers Insurance agents in Peoria, Arizona have begun fundraising to fund the home dedicated in Peoria for Michael Leonard and his wife Cheryl, through Homes for our Troops.org, a 501(c)3 dedicated to building homes and rebuilding lives.
Four Farmers insurance agencies are spearheading the drive that will culminate in a 5K and 1 Mile Walk-Wheel event on Saturday, March 16 at 7 a.m. till noon.
"Our goal is to raise money for the Leonard family's new home," said Farmers Peoria District Manager Steven Washburn. "I am joined in sponsorships by Farmers agents Lucas Atwood Mark Schlegel, Ed McQuade and Steve Stanley. We are inviting anyone interested in helping sponsor or to join us in the race on March 16."
