AJAX-Based FiveRuns Approaching 1,000 Beta Subscribers

Rich user interface, which leverages Ruby On Rails and AJAX for optimal user experience

Exactly one month after its systems management beta launch at JBoss World Conference, FiveRuns is rapidly approaching 1,000 beta subscribers. The company has received an overwhelming response to its attractive, straightforward user interface based on Ruby on Rails and Ajax.

The tremendous beta response further validates that organizations, especially underserved small and medium businesses, are more ready than ever for an affordable, enterprise-level management solution that monitors both traditional and open source systems. Incoming beta requests continue to mount each week as FiveRuns builds toward LinuxWorld, August 15-17, where the company will announce general availability of its systems management solution.

Extending the high quality, low cost benefits of open source solutions, FiveRuns’ offering is a fraction of the cost of traditional management software. Additional features that differentiate FiveRuns from existing systems management solutions include:

- Software as a Service (SaaS)-based monitoring, offering the flexibility to subscribe to the appropriate level of service as infrastructure changes
- Lower implementation costs driven by automated configuration discovery and auto baseline thresholds
-Rich user interface, which leverages Ruby on Rails and Ajax technologies for optimal user experience

FiveRuns Systems Management is currently available in beta release.
