IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces the launch of four new solutions for corporate social responsibility (CSR). The IFS solutions are applicable in a wide range of industries, covering environment, workplace, trade and compliance aspects of CSR.
“IFS understands the importance of corporate social responsibility, both in terms of legal compliance and leveraging enhanced business insight to boost profitability,” IFS CEO Alastair Sorbie said. “CSR is a wide-ranging concept that has the potential to impact our customers’ businesses significantly. By closely monitoring the market and working with our customers, we have developed fully-integrated solutions that can help our customers turn the challenges of non-financial reporting into a business opportunity.”
The new IFS CSR solutions are:
- Eco-footprint Management 2.0—Building on the best-in-class functionality of version 1.0, covering a broad spectrum of activities ranging from raw material sourcing to product design to logistics and emissions tracking and follow-up, IFS Eco-footprint Management 2.0 contains a number of improvements in terms of standards compliance within the manufacturing sector. The new version has been developed in close collaboration with industry-leading customers.
- Occupational Health & Safety—IFS Health & Safety provides companies with a complete solution for protecting the safety, health and welfare of people engaged in work or employment. The solution offers an integrated platform for safety policy management, risk assessment, incident management and KPI reporting. This will help IFS customers to comply with legislation as well as health, safety and environment industry standards.
- Export Control—IFS Export Control is a comprehensive solution to support companies handling products subject to export restrictions, for example military equipment or high-tech electronics. The solution, developed in collaboration with industry-leading customers, identifies any restrictions pertaining to the product in question, prevents sales/purchase or, if a valid export license exists, uses the correct export license. The solution also prevents/allows sales to denied parties defined by customer, supplier, end user, etc.
- Quality Assurance—The Quality Assurance solution provides system support for quality standards compliance planning, fully integrated audit management, fully integrated non-conformance reporting and CAPA (corrective and preventive actions). Combined, these features help organizations assure and document compliance with voluntary as well as legal CSR standards and policies. The solution is also equipped with a graphical analysis tool.
“In line with IFS’s strategy for CSR and non-financial reporting solutions, we are proud to announce a number of new innovations within this field,” IFS VP Research & Development Thomas Säld said. “As the recent IDC study on CSR shows, accurate and reliable CSR reporting will become increasingly important, which is why we have focused on giving our customers fully integrated tools for efficient reporting and greater control.”
