SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Twilio (http://www.twilio.com), the market leader in cloud communications, today announced a partnership with Parse (https://www.parse.com), the leading mobile app platform, to make Twilio's voice and messaging APIs easily available to users of Parse's Cloud Code with the launch of Twilio Cloud Module.
The Twilio Cloud Module is the first of many Parse integrations that are upcoming. These modules will make it easier than ever before to develop mobile applications that integrate with many third party services.
For developers whose apps require features such as interactive voice response, mobile app distribution via SMS, call automation or two-factor authentication, Twilio's simple REST API delivers a flexible, scalable and reliable way to access global telecommunications networks.
"We've always loved Twilio and folks at Parse have used it for many projects in the past so I'm incredibly excited about this partnership." said Ilya Sukhar, CEO and co-founder of Parse. "It's just such a natural fit. Many mobile apps need telephony features, especially SMS. Our new Cloud Module makes it dead simple to hook up your mobile app to Twilio without having to maintain any intermediary servers at all. Sending an SMS is literally one line of code. Together we're working to revolutionize application development and I'm excited to see what it enables our mutual customers to do in the future!"
"Parse is an excellent platform for developers," said Twilio CEO Jeff Lawson. "With Twilio Cloud Module, developers can bring their voice and SMS apps to market and scale their businesses faster than ever--we can't wait to see what Parse developers build with Twilio."
