RIVERWOODS, Ill., Oct. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting has appointed Barbara Kroll as UK Managing Director of Twinfield, effective immediately. Twinfield is Europe's first and largest web service for online accounting. In this new role, Kroll will lead the expansion of Twinfield's operations in the United Kingdom as part of Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting's overall global growth strategy to expand its portfolio of collaborative cloud-based solutions for professionals. Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting is a global leading provider of tax, accounting and audit information, software and services.
Twinfield, founded in 2000 by Dutch entrepreneur Andre Kwakernaat, was acquired in 2011 by Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting, to advance its cloud-based tax and accounting services across Europe. Twinfield's primary operations are in the Netherlands and United Kingdom.
Since its acquisition, Twinfield's bookkeeping software has been integrated with Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting's CCH-branded tax, accounting and audit offering in the United Kingdom. This enables accounting practices to support their clients with cloud-based functionality.
Previously Kroll served as Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting's Segment Vice President for Europe where she contributed significantly to the creation of the organization's tax software strategy across Europe and helped to drive the transformation of the business as it continued to transition to software, cloud and mobile solutions.
"I am very pleased to have Barbara taking on this new role," said Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting CEO Kevin Robert. "Barbara has been an outstanding leader for the development of new products and technologies that meet the needs of accountants across Europe. Based on this success, she is exceptionally well suited to lead the expansion of Twinfield in the UK."
