Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, today announced a new strategic alliance and technology standardization agreement with Agiliant, Inc., the master managed services provider behind the Agiliant Affiliate Network™ (AAN). The relationship positions Sharp’s world-class imaging and technology products as a standard brand of the MITOS™ (Managed Information Technology and Output Services) solution marketed and delivered by Agiliant and across the entire AAN.
The AAN consists of leading independent service providers nationwide, exclusively licensed to market MITOS, an integration of Managed Print Services (MPS) and Managed Network Services (MNS) delivered as a single, coordinated managed services solution for businesses of all sizes.
“Sharp’s leadership in developing advanced enterprise technology makes this alliance a tremendous value to Agiliant and the AAN as a standard product platform and an important foundation from which we will continue to evolve and enhance MITOS,” said Gary Stevens, CEO, Agiliant.
AAN members will gain access to Sharp products, as well as all benefits of the program collaboratively developed by Sharp and Agiliant. Agiliant is now able to further enhance its ability to scale and evolve MITOS to provide its Affiliates a comprehensive imaging technology platform in conjunction with other select IT products and services. This collaboration will allow Sharp’s independent dealer network to capitalize on convergence of managed print and managed IT services, with a streamlined program for entry into the AAN.
“This collaboration with Agiliant and the AAN builds on Sharp’s continuing efforts to support and grow our dealer network, a key component in our enterprise technology ecosystem,” said Richard Boomsma, senior vice president, sales, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. “By infusing the channel with the tools they need to provide a vast array of IT services, we are furthering our goal of delivering the comprehensive product portfolio that Sharp clients need in order to grow. This a great example of value-add products that Sharp will be launching in 2012.”
