Web users are getting tired of the traditional web experience, Dave Crane (pictured) will be telling the packed Grand Ballroom audience of i-Technology professionals who are attending on Monday March 13th the inaugural "Real-World AJAX" One-Day Seminar - the first of a nationwide sequence of high-octane, content-rich seminars delivered by the pioneers who for the past year have been using asynchronous JavaScript and XML, to give those same users a better experience. "Once users have experienced an AJAX interface," Crane will explain, "they hate to go back. AJAX is new way of thinking that can result in a flowing and intuitive interaction with the user."
His expertise has helped spawn the Manning book, "Ajax in Action," that delegates attending the "Real-World AJAX" One-Day Seminar will find in their delegates' bags on arrival at the Marriott Marquis Hotel Times Square. Aimed at web developers who have prior experience with web technologies, in this book Crane and his co-authors Eric Pascarello and Darren James show how AJAX is new way of thinking that can result in a flowing and intuitive interaction with the user.
For his "Getting to know AJAX" session, Crane - a senior developer with Historic Futures Ltd. in the UK - will cover the AJAX phenomenon from soup to nuts, introducing its new coding idioms, reviewing the most-used JavaScript functions, and looking to at what he calls "The Fate of AJAX."
