Skyway Software, the leading provider of SOA design-time solutions for developing and delivering custom applications and services has announced that David Precopio has joined its management team as Vice President of Product Management and Marketing. With more than 20 years of marketing experience in the networking, security and Internet industries at companies including SSH, Cisco Systems, Ramp Networks and United Parcel Service, Precopio brings a wealth of hands-on experience and expertise in leading a cutting edge technology company like Skyway Software.
Precopio earned a master's degree in international management and marketing from Thunderbird, American Graduate School of International Management. He also holds a bachelor of arts in political science and marketing from the University of Arizona. At Skyway Software Precopio will build and lead the execution of a strategic marketing plan, which will include direct marketing campaigns and lead generation activities; as well as, product releases, product launches; tradeshow participation, the development of sales collateral and tools; and acting as a spokesperson with top analysts and industry leaders.
Jared Rodriguez, UDDI Specification author and CEO of Skyway Software, comments on the hiring of Precopio, "David has already established himself as a leader within the Skyway Team and his experience with contributing strategically to an entire organization's success made him an easy choice."
When asked why he decided to come aboard Skyway Software, Precopio replied, "There was already a 'buzz' about Skyway in the market due to its initial branding and awareness efforts so I knew this very technically sound company also had a savvy appreciation and respect for the power of marketing and product promotion. Plus, as with any position acceptance situation it comes down to people and product. I can honestly say I was instantly blown away by the sincere, positive team spirit, solid platform of products and enthusiastic customer base."
