BELLEVUE, Wash., March 23, 2010 – Likewise, which provides integration and authentication software for mixed networks, has updated its Enterprise product offering with a slick-looking operations dashboard showing a graphical “green-yellow-red” display to help identify issues and ability to drill down to view specific events, users, and servers.
The software makes it easy for IT managers to authenticate users, control access to applications and data, centrally manage settings with group policies and create reports for regulatory audits.
In addition, the latest release comes with more than 60 comprehensive reports to help demonstrate compliance with PCI (Payment Card Industry) and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. The software provides a tiered event collection and archiving system as well as compliance-oriented reports to analyze these events.
The new event collection and archiving system makes it possible to track all failed logons or attempts to perform privileged operations. The system can also report on users who have not updated passwords in 90 days or on inactive computers. Administrators can also create customized reports to help meet the requirements of various industry-specific standards.
“Our customers told us they needed to demonstrate compliance through easily-generated reports,” said Manny Vellon, chief technology officer and co-founder of Likewise. “5.3’s added reporting and Operations Dashboard make it great tool not only for administrators and IT operations managers, but also for IT directors and CIOs.”
Likewise Enterprise provides 100 percent native support for Apple’s Workgroup Manager and supports Apple’s Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
