MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SoftBrands , a global leader in next-generation enterprise software for businesses in the hospitality and manufacturing sectors, announced today its 800th Medallion property management system (PMS) sale through its burgeoning global business partner channel. Medallion is an easy-to-use, full-featured, multi-lingual PMS solution for hoteliers that want to leverage current technology to increase guest satisfaction.
Sold by SoftBrands business partner Sulcus Hospitality Group, the Golden Tulip Hotel de Reiskoffer in The Netherlands offers its own sauna, Turkish bath, whirlpool, solarium and massage facilities. The hotel is a former SoftBrands LANmark user and saw the move to Medallion as the next logical step in adopting the latest PMS technologies.
"Medallion's exceptional flexibility and scalability will help drive our hotel business forward. We are expecting much and I am sure we will not be disappointed," said Hans Douma, general manager of Golden Tulip de Reiskoffer.
Since the recent commercial alliance with TOP International Hotels, a German-based hotel consortium, the Golden Tulip Top Hospitality Group portfolio comprises more than 43,000 rooms in approximately 390 hotels across 41 countries, with the majority located in urban destinations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Sulcus Hospitality Group, headquartered in Amsterdam, has been a SoftBrands business partner since 1987, when it began installing SoftBrands' LANmark property management system. Sulcus now sells Medallion as its exclusive property management solution and has sold 30 systems to date.
"We are extremely pleased to have reached this milestone and to see the continued growth of SoftBrands' business partner channel, which we believe is key to Medallion's success in the global property management marketplace. We commend Sulcus Hospitality Group for its continued success with Medallion," said Steve VanTassel, SoftBrands senior vice president and general manager, Hospitality.
SoftBrands systems manage more than 200,000 hotel rooms worldwide each night. Medallion is currently available in over 20 countries and SoftBrands is seeking to expand its business partner channel. SoftBrands currently has business partner relationships in Canada, Denmark, Dubai, Ghana, Hungary, Israel, Kuwait, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, Egypt, Spain and Sweden.
