TIBCO Software announced that it received a Stevie Award for Best House Organ/Publication in the Corporate Literature category at The 2009 American Business Awards. The company's winning publication, NOW Magazine, provides IT professionals worldwide with an informative and entertaining vehicle to develop independent thought leadership without corporate spin.
NOW Magazine was conceived two years ago as an in-house thought leadership magazine and is now available in 5 languages. It is designed to distribute the knowledge of innovators chronicling cutting-edge technology development from visionaries who are creating the future. NOW is distributed quarterly to leading technology thinkers, TIBCO customers, employees and partners in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. The ceremonies were hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network.
"We are honored that NOW Magazine has been recognized with a Stevie Award," said Ram Menon, executive vice president, worldwide marketing at TIBCO and publisher of NOW Magazine. "The publication has successfully created a new dialogue around key enterprise technologies and everyday challenges faced by IT users. We look forward to continuing to change the way professionals think about and implement business strategies."
Stevie Awards were presented in over 40 categories ranging from Best Overall Company of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year to best Marketing/Sales Brochure. This year, more than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration. TIBCO's NOW magazine was judged the best in-house corporate publication, beating out larger in-house magazines from Daimler Financial Services and KPMG.
"One of the top challenges for leading companies is to emerge from tough times with closer connections to their customers," said Michael Gallagher, president of The Stevie Awards. "NOW magazine has shown leadership in articulating and presenting technology innovation to its readers and we congratulate TIBCO on winning its second Stevie award."
More than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the Finalists and Stevie Award winners.
